The Last Night of Ballyhoo is a two act play written by Alfred Uhry. The play takes place in December of 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia. Hitler is invading Poland, Gone with the Wind is making its debut and Adolph Freitag and his family's only concern is Ballyhoo, a lavish ball for southern Jewish socialities. When Adolph brings home Joe (his new, very eligible assistant) home to dinner, romantic scheming and its resulting hilarity ensue. |
