Film version
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes was filmed in 1953 starring Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell and went on to become one of the classic films of the 1950's and an essential production to Monroe's legend.
History
Despite being one of the most legendary Broadway musicals, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes has surprisingly only been revived once on Broadway, in 1995 starring KT Sullivan as Lorelei Lee and Karen Prunzik as Dorothy Shaw. It ran for only 24 performances, 16 of those previews.
